The impact of biotechnology on global industry keeps growing, together with the need for cell factories that can produce at higher yields and be robust in small and large-scales bioprocessing. Our research activities are focused on improving microbial performance to produce DNA vaccines and proteins. Current advances on this topic will be presented, and the future direction of our research group will be discussed.
Dr. Alvaro Lara earned his PhD degree from the National Autonomous University of Mexico. His research interests are biological engineering and biomanufacturing.
There will be a small reception after the lecture.
