New Representative Sought for the Academic Council at TECH
The Academic Council at TECH is seeking a new technical-administrative representative for a period until 31 January 2028.
The Academic Council at TECH is currently seeking a technical-administrative staff member to join the Council for the period from now until 31 January 2028. The position has become vacant following the departure of the current representative from Aarhus University.
The Academic Council serves as the faculty’s academic advisory body and plays a central role in discussions concerning the development and direction of the faculty. Its work includes advising on:
- the overall academic development of the faculty
- recruitment and career frameworks for academic staff
- quality assurance of education
- strategic priorities related to research and talent development
The Council provides a forum in which the Dean presents plans and decisions, while members contribute perspectives from across the faculty. Meetings are conducted in English. The technical-administrative representative participates as an observer, meaning they take part in discussions but do not vote when formal votes are held.
Further information about the Academic Council is available on Aarhus University’s website.
As this is not an election year, the Election Secretariat has advised that the new representative will be selected by drawing lots if more than one candidate volunteers. In such cases, a substitute member will also be selected by lot.
Staff members interested in the position are encouraged to come forward by sending a mail to Ida Marie Gerdes - img@au.dk. Expressions of interest should be submitted no later than Thursday 26 March at 10:00.
