Stay updated on your newest colleauges in the Department of Biological and Chemical Engineering, and on who we say goodbye to.
Raffaele Grieco is employed as a postdoc in the research group Low-Emission Livestock Facilities, in the section Air Quality and Emission Engineering, from 1 May.
Raffaele has until now been employed on a Research Scholarship at the University of Naples Federico II after completing his PhD. He has previously worked with management and emissions from stored and digested manure.
At BCE, Raffaele will work on the STOREMIS project with greenhouse gas and ammonia emissions from different types of stored livestock manure. His work will contribute to strengthening our understanding of the processes, microbes, and manure characteristics that drive gas emissions from manure, and will thereby help further develop existing farm-level models for predicting gas emissions.
Raffaele will have Campus Viborg as his primary workplace. We look forward to welcoming him to Air Quality and Emission Engineering.
Nan Xu is employed as a postdoc in the research group Emission Measurement and Mitigation from Agriculture (EMMA), in the section Air Quality and Emission Engineering, from 1 May.
Nan is from China and comes from a position as a PhD student at the Department of Agroecology, where she worked with life cycle assessments and nitrous oxide emissions from agriculture.
At BCE, Nan will contribute with quantification of the effects of nitrification inhibitors and biochar on ammonia emissions following the application of manure.
We look forward to welcoming Nan to Air Quality and Emission Engineering.
Nan will have Campus Viborg as her primary workplace.
Vladimir Koselka is employed as a PhD student in Jo Philips' research group, Microbial Electrosynthesis, in the section Bioprocess Engineering, from March 1, 2026.
Vladimir comes from the Netherlands, where he obtained a master’s degree in Life Science and Technology at TUDelft.
At BCE, Vladimir will work on computational modelling of microbial electrosynthesis processes. He will be part of the Microbial Electrosynthesis research group headed by Jo Philips (section of Bioprocess Engineering) and will be co-supervised by Jacopo Catalano, Pourya Forooghi (MPE) and Michael Kofoed. His project is funded by CORC.
Vladimir will be working at Gustav Wieds Vej. We are very happy to welcome Vladimir in our team!
