Instead of bringing your own AU IT equipment when travelling to high-risk countries, AU recommends using an IT travel kit. You can read more about what an IT travel kit includes and how to borrow one below.
If you wish to borrow an IT travel kit, you must contact Nat-Tech IT via the Service Portal no later than two weeks before your trip. When you are logged into the system, follow the steps below:
1) I need something
2) IT equipment
3) Other
4) Write your request
Once you have described your destination and submitted the request, you will receive a link to book an appointment for pickup, where the computer will be prepared for you.
Remember to inform IT when placing your request if you need any software on the computer other than the pre-installed Office applications.
An IT travel kit contains a Windows computer and an Android or iOS mobile phone (your choice).
Computer
The Windows computer has VPN and Office applications installed (Word, PowerPoint, Excel), but not Outlook. You need to access Outlook through webmail.au.dk to support two-step verification.
If you need other software during your trip, please inform IT when you order the IT travel kit.
Mobile Phone
You can choose between an Android and an iOS mobile phone. However, only Android devices can access company data such as Outlook.
Remember to log out of apps that access AU data on your private mobile if you bring it on trips to high-risk countries.
